First Troop 482 Scout Led Court of Honor

The Boy Scouts of Troop 482 held their first Scout Led Court of Honor Ceremony on Wednesday, November 13, 2013.

Connoquenessing Community Park Benefits from Eagle Scout Service Project!

Troop 482's Ryan D. Completes Fire Pit Project at Connoquenessing Community Park!

 

 As one of the final steps in Ryan's journey to Eagle Scout Rank, Ryan designed and managed all steps necessary to complete a beautiful fire pit project which will benefit visitors to the park for years to come.

Members of Troop 482, family and friends all volunteered and pitched in to help make Ryan's vision a reality. Congratulations to Ryan on the completion of his project and best wishes on finishing a successful career in scouting.

 

 

 

Troop 482 Volunteers at Buffalo Creek 1/2 Marathon Water Station for 5th Consecutive Year!

Ten volunteers from Boy Scout Troop 482 filled paper cups and served up water and Gatorade to 1,200 runners who participated in the 8th Annual Buffalo Creek Half Marathon. We also had welcome help from 2 nurses and 5 spectators who pitched in to help. THANKS to our volunteers! It was a fast fun filled morning.

Troop 482 Urban Bike Hike!

On Saturday, June 8th, Troop 482 travelled to Pittsburgh for our first Urban Bike Hike! We started with a hearty breakfast at Eat-n-Park. Then it was on to Mt. Washington at the top of the Duquesne Incline, which some of our boys chose to ride up and enjoy the view. We got to see the sights of Pittsburgh, some of which included Mt. Washington, Station Square, Downtown, Point State Park, 3 Rivers Arts Festival, PNC Park, Heinz Field, Carnegie Science Center, and many more.
We learned about urban road safety as well as patching and changing an inner tube! It was a great day! Thanks to Mr. Deemer and all the leaders and parents who helped plan and make this event possible!

Boy Scout Troop 482 Participates in Pack 482 Arrow of Light Weekend

Our Troop and Pack were blessed with beautiful weather for our annual Arrow of Light Weekend Campoout this past weekend! Troop 482 is proud to welcome two new Boy Scouts from Pack 482. Another memorable crossing over ceremony was held in the beautiful natural amphitheather at Camp Agawam Saturday evening with a blazing bonfire ignighted by a flaming arrow symbolizing the spirit of Akeala.

Our troop enjoyed a challenging hike Saturday morning and enjoyed great meals with the scouts and families of Pack 482.

Some First Year and Veteran Scouts Take on 5 Mile Hike!

Some hearty Scouts and Dads participated in a 5 Mile Hike this morning on a portion of the North Country Trail! With snow on the ground and drizzle in the air, it was a great morning to walk in the woods. A good time was had by all. Some beautiful vistas of Lake Arthur were one of the rewards. Thanks to all who participated!

2013 Pinewood Derby Concession Stand A Winner!

The concession stand hosted by the Boy Scouts of Troop 482 was a Big Success Sunday 2/17/13 at the Conno Fire Hall! Contestants and families of Pack 482 supported our troop in a big way with sales in the neighborhood of $300.00! Thank you to the parents of our troop for the generous donations of food & supplies!
